Quality inspection determines and verifies the quality level of the weight plates to ensure that the results of the manufacturing process are the same as expected. And to ensure only good quality bumper plates will be delivered to customers, Hiperlion team pay special attention to final plate inspection.
Hiperlion strict quality inspection of rubber bumper plate includes but is not limited to the following.
1.WEIGHT TOLERANCE.
The majority of bumper plates on the current market have a weight tolerance of between 2-3%. For training bumper plate, Hiperlion ensures tolerance +/-10g.
2.GYM WEIGHT PLATE APPEARANCE INSPECTION
- Plates should be clean and free of dust, etc.
- The parting line is well trimmed without flash
- No scratches allowed on the surface
- The surface of weight plate set meets the order requirements and the style is intact, no shortage of material, excess material, damage, etc
- The surface of steel ring is smooth, no bumps, dents allowed
- The color of bumper plate is accurate, same as order requirements or the Pantone color customer required.
3.LOGO INSPECTION.
For bumper plates with custom logo, check the logo font, color, dimensions.
4.Stainless steel inserts/hub, diameter between 5.2 and 5.7cm. No cracking, burrs, flashes allowed
5.DESTRUCTIVE TESTING.
Cut the bumper plate to check whether there are impurities in the internal rubber, inspect the thickness of rubber.
6.DROP TEST.
Durability is an important factor when considering the quality of bumper plate. Hiperlion bumper plate are durable to bear 5,000-10,000 times free falls from 2.2m height.
